Privacy notice

Version 1 · effective from 14 August 2026

This notice explains what personal data The Villagers collects and why, under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.

What we collect

  • Punters: name, phone number, date of birth, slip and payment history.
  • Players: name, date of birth, village and district, photograph, and where eligibility requires it, an identification reference and a scan of the document.
  • Officials and staff: name, phone number, role and activity in the audit log.

What is public

A player's public profile shows their name, photograph, team, position, shirt number and statistics. Date of birth, identification number, phone number and identification documents are never published.

Children

Where a registered player is under 18, we record written guardian consent before any photograph or profile is published.

How long we keep it

Identification documents are deleted once eligibility for that season no longer needs them. Financial records are kept for seven years, as required for audit and tax.
